CAMP RULES

The Administration reserves the right to reject an applicant and to send home any boy or girl whose influence is considered injurious to the best interest of the camp and/or campers. Do not bring Game Boys, Walkmans/Discmans, mp3 players, cellular phones, TV’s, knives, guns, ammunition, fireworks, matches, tobacco, alcohol or drugs to camp.

MEDICAL HELP & SAFETY

We meet the requirements of American Camp Association (ACA) for medical supervision. The water supply is inspected and approved by the state health department. Cohutta Springs is proud of its safety record. Important: Your health history form (which will be sent to you along with your parent pak) must be brought to camp with you. Please note: Camper registration includes limited accident insurance. Health insurance remains the family's responsibility, i.e. flu, earaches, and other personal health issues.

FRIENDS CAN STAY TOGETHER IF…

you sign up for the same attraction. Campers are assigned to cabins according to their attraction, and on a “first come, first serve” basis. This will enable counselor supervision at all times throughout the week, and will enhance your registration experience on Sunday. When registering online, register on the same day for the same attraction to insure availability. If mailing your applications, mail applications to the office in the same envelope.

YES, CAMPERS CAN STAY MORE THAN ONE WEEK

As long as it is age appropriate for your child, we would be glad to have him/her register for a second week. Free laundry service is provided for campers staying more than one week.

7 TOTALLY HEALTHY DAYS

Sunshine, mountain fresh air, healthy role models, lots of exercise and super healthy food (delicious and complete vegetarian meals) all combine to provide our campers the 7 healthiest days to be found anywhere!

COHUTTA SPRINGS CAMP STORE

At our own camp store, campers buy Cohutta Springs mementos including caps, postcards, T-shirts, snacks, etc. We suggest $25-$75 spending money. You may send money with the application to put on your child’s account. We encourage campers to keep their money in the camp store bank where it is safe and they have access to it during all camp store hours. Whatever money is not spent will be returned to them at weeks end along with a detailed account of their expenditures.

CAMP CAMPER CHECK-IN/PICK-UP

Check-In on Sunday is from 2:00-4:30 pm. Because our staff is anxious to make your child’s week at camp the best it can be, they are totally involved with camp preparation details. Therefore, we cannot accept early camper check-ins or have parents drop-off campers early. Camper pick-up time is at 10:00 a.m. Sunday. Thank you for your cooperation.

COHUTTA SPRINGS CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND

Cohutta Springs Youth Camp needs more camper accommodations and additional dining hall space. Your contributions will help insure that campers will not be turned away. Thank you!

OUTSTANDING VALUE

Most camps that compare to Cohutta Springs charge up to three times as much and still don’t offer our outstanding staff/camper ratio of 1:3. This can happen because we are not for profit and our program is sponsored by the Georgia-Cumberland Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. Adventists believe that providing positive Christian experiences for kids is a high priority.
